Since I’m at the office and can’t watch the Spain/France game, I’ll instead focus on the rock show that’s going down tomorrow (Wed. 6/28). It’s going to be good for (but not limited to) the following reasons:
- Condo will be playing. They’re a great band we met back in the days of Luna. Condo also rolls with a Rhodes so you know they’re commited to the highest of rock standards. Great songs. They’re also great people which means their friends/fans are good people as well. And, since our friends/fans are also good people, Fontanas will be filled with good people all of which who have good taste in music. It’s the classic Recipe for Success : take one part great music and mix generously with good people.
- The Mugs recently held a band screening of Dave Chapelle’s “Block Party” and we have since found ourselves in a collective state of sustained inspiration. “Block Party” is a prime example of the sublime things that can happen when the Recipe for Success is followed with the best of care. Truly a work of art that film.
So come on out… and bring Rudy, and Theo, and Denise…
